Let me tell you a little about my background
I am a licensed addictions specialist and a licensed professional counselor in mental health. I started my career as a pharmacist, and then later working in academia, for the Food and Drug Administration, followed by consulting for the pharmaceutical industry. I learnt a lot about drugs and working in different environments.
I went back to college to get a degree so that I could be a counselor. I graduated with a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling from East Carolina University in December 2007.
Before setting up my own practice, I worked in the inpatient alcoholism and drug treatment facility for Wake County and later in community and in private outpatient practices in North Carolina. I also work part-time as a counselor at a small college campus.
